Meem Sakin, Noon and Meem Mushaddadah

There are three modes of recitation if a word ends with Mīm sākin and is followed by a letter. 1.         Ikhfa' Shafawi, Labial lowering of sound. 2.         Idgham Shafawi, Labial Assimilation. 3.         Izhar Shafawi, Labial Manifestation. The modes of recitation are known as labial because the origin for the pronunciation of the consonants concerned is labial.
