Numerals
There are two kinds of numerals used in Arabic writing; standard numerals (predominant in the Arab World), and Eastern Arabic numerals (used in Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India).

In Arabic, the former are referred to as "Indian numbers" (arqām hindiyyah, أرقام هندية ).
