Lafzatullah, Broad pronunciation

RULE No.6

Rules No. 4 and 5 should be applied to the letter Lam of 'Allahumma' as well.

Example Analysis:

The letter Lam should be pronounced in a similar way to Rules No. 4 and 5. In No. 217, Subhanakallahumma, the letter Lam should be pronounced with a broad sound because it is preceded by fathah. In No. 218, Qulillahumma, the letter Lam should be recited with a thin sound because it is preceded by a kasrah.

In all words which include the letter Lam mushaddadah, with the exception of the two words 'Allah' and 'Allahumma\ Lam mushaddadah should always be recited with a thin sound. In the Practice Text, Rule No. 7, the underlined words provide examples for this rule.
