II (a) i 1   Harafi Mukhaffaf, One Letter Dissimilated

RULE NO.40

The duration of the stretch should be six harakat if a non-assimilated letter includes a letter of madd and an invariable sukun appears after it. This madd is called Harafi Mukhaffaf.

Example Analysis:

Example No. 801, Qaf. Wal Qur'anil Majid: In the letter Qaf, Alif sakin is one of the letters of madd because it is preceded by the fathah and after Qaf there is an invariable sukun. This madd should be stretched by six harakat.
